Mission

The San Bernardino County Fire Benevolent Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that provides financial assistance to employees of San Bernardino County Fire District and their families. Formed in 2017 directly by members of the

San Bernardino County Fire District with a specific commitment to provide a complete chain of support through unexpected, catastrophic, or significant changes that affect the employee’s ability to continue their dedicated service to the communities we serve. This is accomplished through various means of financial fundraising, and networking to available entities that specialize in the necessary interventions.

Source of funds: Assistance may be paid from existing assets. SBCFBF may also fundraise and conduct outreaches for occurrences. The Board will determine, in its sole discretion, the amount of raised funds that will be available for assistance. However, earmarking is prohibited. SBCFBF is legally required to retain full control and discretion over all charitable donations that it receives. Donors may not earmark or require contributions to go to a particular individual, or family. Any fundraising conducted by SBCFBF will not state or imply otherwise. Outreaches based on certain circumstances are not to be conceived as raised for a particular individual’s assistance, but a donation to an entity who’s sole purpose is to provide that assistance to any, and all employees equally and fairly; as determined by the Board.
